Helping Stay-at-home Moms Discover Purpose, Transform Health, and Create Financial Freedom

Mom’s Roadmap Home Podcast with Roz K Walker

Listen on…

Today, I want to talk to a mama out there whose heart is hurting. You may have suffered a loss of some kind—a physical loss or a loss of a dream.

Your dream to stay at home with your kids hasn’t happened yet and you can’t see a way it could ever happen.

You may be feeling hopeless, let down by God, and perhaps you feel like giving up.

I want to speak to you today because I’ve been there. I know the pain of tremendous loss, and I know the pain of having to put a dream on hold.

And I know what it feels like to be tempted to turn your back on God because He let you down.

If any of this sounds like you, then, dear Mama, today’s podcast is for you!

In this episode, I’m going to…

In today’s episode, I’m going to talk about delayed dreams and how to deal with the disappointment. Our biblical strategy for this episode is coming from Luke 7: 11-15.

You’ll hear about…

  • [0:00:01] Who this episode is for
  • [0:02:48] An introduction to the Widow of Nain
  • [0:03:01] A description of the town of Nain
  • [0:04:31] The important sequence of events
  • [0:05:39] What following Jesus can mean for our lives
  • [0:05:54] FREE offer details for help in making disciples of your children
  • [0:06:41] Our journey as moms
  • [0:11:22] The miracle at Nain and what it means for moms today
Conclusion

This same Jesus who had compassion on the widow of Nain and traveled a day’s journey over the rocky terrain to get to her is also touched with compassion by our grief. He understands our sadness when our dream to stay at home has been delayed.

His heart is a heart of unchangeable tenderness. And the power He showed then at the gate of Nain has not diminished over the centuries. It’s still available to us today.
