Cacao Coconut Smoothie

Cacao Coconut Smoothie Bowl

This Cacao Coconut Smoothie is one of my go-to breakfast recipes. I usually alternate between this and overnight oats. It's a creamy, chocolatey, yummy smoothie that's also healthy.

Though you can make this recipe with regular cocoa powder, I like to use raw cacao. While they both look the same, cocoa is the ‘raw cacao’ that’s been roasted at high temperatures. The roasting process lowers the overall nutritional value and destroys the health benefits.

Cacao, on the other hand, contains more fiber than cocoa and has a higher antioxidant content. Cacao is also known to have the highest source of magnesium of all foods.
