Short Business Lesson: You Are Heard

It seemed like I was uselessly repeating myself to my children, “Edify with your words…”.  They didn’t seem to even hear me.

Then one day (many days later), I heard my kids arguing and then the 3-yr-old said to his 6-yr-old sister, “Edify with your words.”  She replied with an apology, said something edifying to him, and then they went on playing.

Wow.

What I thought was a hopeless situation, proved to be very hopeful indeed.  My continuous droning finally paid off.  They did hear me.  They were listening.

Now, did it pay off every time after that?  No, but more and more often they have shown me that they do listen, giving me hope.

There’s a business lesson here.

You may think you are uselessly sharing your business story, your marketing message.  You post on social media sites, you place ads online, you network in groups, you blog and blog and blog, but it seems like no one hears you.

Keep sharing your story.  Keep giving the message.  Keep advertising.

They do hear you.  It will sink in.  And they’ll buy when the time is right.

Those moments do bring you joy, don’t they? I can’t even begin to tell you how often I’ve felt like I was chasing a dream, but I trust God and “keep it moving.”

My mom often used to use a quote something like this:The difference between those that win & those that lose; persistence. Thanks for reaffirming the message
